RACINE, WIS.

Dr. Asad Raza is so angry with Canada for making it difficult for immigrants with foreign credentials to get jobs that he created a Web site to tell the world about it.

The site, NotCanada.com, was launched in September. Dr. Raxa said 200 unique visitors view it every day.

He said most agree with the purpose and content of the site—to educate potential immigrants about the difficulties they may encounter in Canada.

He said Canada only wants immigrants to work jobs such as delivering pizza or driving a taxi.

Dr. Raza, who came to Canada from India when he was two years old, said he didn't feel like a foreigner until he tried to get into medicine.

He said he applied to medical school for four consecutive years from 1996 to 1999 to no avail.

He had an honours bachelor of science degree from York University but could only get employment at "odd jobs."

Netherlands Antilles

He was accepted to Saba University school of medicine on Saba Island in Netherlands Antilles in the Caribbean. After graduation, he moved to the United States, where he said he passed four medical licensing exams and worked uncompensated for almost two years in four states to gain experience.

He is now a resident with family here and has no plans to ever return to Canada.

In an e-mail interview Dr. Raza told the Medical Post: "Canada is a closed chapter in my life. I would denounce my Canadian citizenship today if I could obtain citizenship elsewhere. The country has zero opportunities for me. I only wish I had left sooner."

[Funny he couldn't get a job seems most of Canadas medical staff seem to come from somewhere else and even speaking English is not important.  Plus they get affirmative racism.

But hey if he talks you out of coming here; don't let me talk you into coming here.
